Since The Deas Law Firm, LLC opened in January 2004, we have continued to reach out to those who ask us for help. With diligence and hard work, we have concluded many successful transactions with our clients. As the firm continued to grow, I purchased a law firm building in downtown Sumter that was steeped in the history of law and previously belonged to one of Sumter`s “legends of the lawyer,” the late M.M. “Rusty” Weinberg Jr., Esquire. Through my legal advice and advocacy, I have had many opportunities to make a positive impact on the lives of the people I meet through my legal practice. After much deliberation, prayer and contemplation with the entrepreneurial spirit I had inherited from my parents, I started my own law firm. In 1999, I became a partner at the law firm of Weeks, Deas, & Hadstate, LLC. As a young lawyer, I worked feverishly to improve my skills as a litigator and become competent in all areas of law. In those early years, I realize how blessed I really was. In addition to being an attorney, I am involved in a number of professional, civic, and service organizations in my hometown of Sumter, South Carolina, and in Columbia, South Carolina, where I currently live with my family.
After studying law at Syracuse University School of Law in 1996, I returned to my hometown of Sumter and began my career as a lawyer. Early in my legal career, I worked as a partner for 2 well-known lawyers in Sumter, John Miles, Esquire and J. David Weeks, Esquire. Together, my parents showed me the importance of working hard and tirelessly to serve and improve my community. My parents showed these qualities on a daily basis through the professions they chose, my mother was an educator and my father was a pharmacist and ran his pharmacy business for over 40 years. I strive to live up to the same ideal; Along with many other invaluable qualities, they taught me my whole life. Contact Curtis & Croft, LLC for experienced advice in Sumter, South Carolina.
