The Legal Aid Society was founded in the early 1960s as a volunteer organization and was founded by lawyers who are members of the Orange County Bar Association. Volunteer lawyers agreed to accept referrals in civil and criminal cases for residents who could not afford a lawyer. In 1967, the organization was officially founded in Florida as a non-profit organization under the name Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association, Inc. It hired its first manager and full-time employee and offered free civil law services. Currently, Legal Aid employs approximately 45 people, including 18 lawyers, and coordinates the time and cash contributions of over 3,000 volunteers – lawyers and non-lawyers. Volunteers can change someone`s life. Last year, volunteers donated over 34,000 pro bono hours to support our clients. Our volunteers include partners and staff from large law firms, in-house counsel, individual and small law firms, young lawyers, paralegals, law students, students and a number of individuals concerned with ensuring access to justice. Our staff is committed to providing training, mentoring, samples, technical support, as well as Spanish and Vietnamese translations and interpretations to assist our volunteer volunteers. We have many satisfied clients who have benefited tremendously from our legal document preparation services. We find that most of our clients refer us to their family and friends when they also need legal document preparation services. Find relief in your situation.

It was fantastic to work with Karen. When I tried to file a name change for my son, the court kept refusing it because I couldn`t do it properly. I asked Karen for help. She`s awesome and so nice to talk to. Originally, I paid for papers online, a terrible idea. Sylvia repaired all the paperwork and made the documents I had missed.
