The summer internship will take place from May 22 to August 4, 2023. The application window for our internship program is from December 1, 2022 to February 14, 2023. The internship will take place in July 2023. The programme is open to applicants who have completed at least two years of a degree by summer 2023, postgraduate students or applicants who have successfully completed a third-level degree in any discipline. The program is designed to give you an idea of what it`s like to be a trainee lawyer at Dechert, and you`ll get a real job from our lawyers. This may include researching, writing, and attending meetings. You will be assigned a journeyman intern and supervisor (associate or partner) to ensure your time with us exceeds your expectations. As a summer intern, you will be assigned to a team in one of our three departments; Commercial, real estate or litigation or one of our areas of expertise, including; Employment, funds, taxes, intellectual property, technology and privacy, pensions, construction and projects or banks. Reporting directly to the partner of this team, your workload will be varied and interesting, with a responsibility equivalent to that of an intern. The law covers a wide range of industries, from business and commercial law to personal injury and labor law. Irish legislation is expected to continue to develop over the next five years, making internships in Ireland a highly sought-after experience. We believe that the most important training is what takes place every day, with your supervisor directing your work and providing help and feedback. Your superiors advise you continuously. In addition, your professional development will be regularly monitored by Dublin`s partners and the Recruitment and Graduate Development team at your disposal. If we offer you a summer internship program, we will automatically consider you for an apprenticeship contract with the company and your internship will include the evaluation of the apprenticeship contract. If you don`t get a summer internship, you`ll have to wait until the following year to apply for a summer internship or apprenticeship contract. 450 POINTS from your Irish school-leaving certificate.
